BACKGROUND

The Arizona Cotton Research & Protection Council (ACRPC) is an organization formally established by statute in 1984 to serve as a vehicle through which Arizona cotton growers could provide adequate funding for research and applied technology to address industry needs relating to pest control and crop production. ACRPC activities are funded through an annual assessment on each bale of cotton produced in Arizona.

MISSION STATEMENT

To protect and maintain the viability of the Arizona cotton industry by conducting or sponsoring activities that provide growers with practical, economically sustainable technologies relating to cotton production or its protection. This includes programs of cotton pest control and/or eradication as well as research and other activities aimed at fostering transfer of technology to the cotton industry from other agencies working in the area of cotton production and pest management.
