IMPORTANT NOTICE

 

·                    To all Arizona cotton growers

 

·                    Pink Bollworm Eradication continues this season
 

If you plan to plant conventional cotton, ALL non-Bt must be registered on the attached forms by the following dates:

Maricopa and Pinal counties – March 17, 2009
Pima, Greenlee, Graham and Cochise – March 31, 2009

Yuma county – January 14, 2009

Mohave, LaPaz counties - February 14, 2009

Cibola area in LaPaz county - March 2, 2009
 

A payment of $32 per planted acre of non-Bt cotton is to be remitted to the Arizona Cotton Research and Protection Council within 60 days of registration
 

The following are the steps to follow in registration:

 

Step 1        Fill out the information form completely.

 

Step 2        Locate and clearly mark the fields where you plan to plant non-Bt (highlighter, marking pen or other distinct marker).

 

Step 3        If you have non-Bt fields outside the mapped area, locate and draw these in the appropriate section on the blank township map provided.

 

Step 4        Place all maps and information in the enclosed self-addressed envelope and mail to ACRPC before deadline for your county.

 

NOTE:       Please return the information form marked zero for acres if you do not plan to grow non-Bt cotton.
